Monterey 2008: Cooling Off

At Monterey, the weather is always an open question. The only way to be safe is to dress in layers — over the course of a day, the temperature may swing as much as twenty degrees Fahrenheit, and at night the Arena has a strange knack for making 55 degrees feel like something closer to 40.
A drizzly mist swept through the Monterey County Fairgrounds during Friday’s late shows, but Saturday opened up into a gloriously warm and sunny day, about as close to perfect as anyone could wish. Today, however, a Pacific Coast fog has settled in, rendering the skies overcast as a chilly wind blows in from the water. Maybe some hot music will help the clouds burn off…
